Description to Contents: We ordered this 4-pack in the size 12-14 color set (Royal Blue, Dark Gray, Black, and Red) for my 13-year-old son (4'10", 75 lbs). He is on the small side for his age, and while these ended up being a bit big on him, we figured the 10-12 would have been too small. The colors of the shorts is an exact match to the listing images.
Material and Quality: They are made of synthetic materials (100% polyester) that feels like a standard, high-quality basketball jersey material. It is soft and smooth to the touch, and my son says it doesn't chafe. The stitching is solid along the seams and around the leg openings. 2 of them have been washed and dried and there's no signs of shrinking or fading, but some threads did come lose from the bottom edge.
Usability and Fit: There is an internal drawstring. Because my son has a very thin waist, the drawstring is essential for keeping the shorts up, but it's thin and he said it's not comfortable and digs in when tied around his waist. The pockets are deep, great for holding his cell phone without falling out during play or riding his bike.
Performance: Even though the fit is a little loose on him currently, he really enjoys wearing them. The fabric is lightweight and breathable, a good choice for three season clothing.
Bottom line: This 4-pack for below 25 is pretty decent value, granted the fabric is on the cheaper side. The shorts are well-constructed, have deep pockets, and a functional drawstring that makes them an option for thinner kids.

They are solid pairs of shorts. Great for everyday wear and tear. I wasn’t expecting them to be so long. They nearly go mid calf on my son. He’s average on the growth scale. The size runs a little big but that’s because I want them to be secure not him having to tie or worry about them slipping down.
They are the traditional athletic short. There’s no special fabric or wicking material, refined stitching or finishing. It’s more go git’r’done, it’ll do the job. In other words you get what you’re paid for. The material is thinner than name brands, but on par with box store brands. I would come back and buy because kids do need clothes that they don’t have to stress about being kids in.

This is a great value for an essential summer basic. Your kid can never have too many of these. My son things they are comfortable in material and along the waistband. They hold up to his no-gi days in jiu-jitsu and they are not see through. They are a little long, so keep that in mind if you or your child likes them above the knee. It is a basketball short and fits like one. I would recommend to order whatever size your child normally wears. My son complains about a lot of clothing and these received 0 complaints from him.

My son is on this kick where he only wears sweatpants and basketball shorts when it’s warm enough and these passed his comfort test. The length is great and the elastic waistband and drawstring make these ideal for a kid that has trouble keeping their pants up. The material is soft and breathable. Since these come in a 4 pack the price isn’t that bad for what you get.
